Getting the CIA and DOD in sync

I was reading this article and what cought my attention was when I read that days before the attack or killing of Osama Bin Laden, Obama named the CIA Director Leon Panetta as defense secretary and Gen. David Petraeus as CIA director. Remeber that the Navy SEAL that took down Osama Bin Laden  flew from Afghanistan under the CIA’s command. I find it a bit shaddy, but it migh t just be me thinking "wierd. But in the positive side Panetta’s other jobs as budget director and chief of staff in the Clinton White House have prepared him for other battles over defense spending cuts. Also, Petraeus is aswell prephared for his job, he has expireince in pushing the use of intelligence, like special operations and interagency partners in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Petraeus seems to be a good choice to deal with rising budget pressures and most likely can ensure the agency’s missions maintain their funding levels. He is a great persuader, as you can see with the funding for the Iraq war.
