A married man and father of one child, was taken hostage outside of Baghdad together with his cousin. By men with Kalashnikovs they were forced to get into the boot of their car. They spend the next 13 day being tortured with electric shocks and cigarettes were being burned on them. And the kidnappers even made them swallow dozens of sleeping pills. The kidnappers wanted 1million dollars for the hostages release, and they were threatening to behead them is the 1 million wasn’t paid. But, with the help of Austrian foreign officials, they were able to negotiate, the hostages release for $54,000 paid by their family.
So now the married men and father of one went to work to explain his absences to his boss, but the boss refuse to believe him, even if when the government officials confirmed the man’s story. He was fired for taking “extended holiday without leave”. But now the man is going to take legal actions to get his job back.
Opinion:
Wow this was some story right? Well I know it’s hard to believe a person when all of a sudden they come and tell you they were kidnapped, but I don’t understand that even when the governments officials had confirm it the man’s boss still decided to proceed with firing the man, is that even permitted to do? But I bet he is going to get his job back, and when he does, he could tell his boss “haha I told you I was saying the truth punk”
